The length of the car is the maximum longitudinal dimension of the car.
Vehicle overall length is one of the standardized vehicle data, among the so-called basic vehicle dimensions, which are defined by the international standard ISO 612 from 1978.

Since 1986, the Guinness Book of World Records has listed a limousine with a length of 30.5 metres (exactly 100 feet and 1.5 inches) as the longest vehicle in the world. This limousine, called the American Dream, was custom-built from a 1970s Cadillac Eldorado. In 2022, its surviving torso received a thorough restoration. This one-off has 46 wheels and can seat more than 75 passengers. The vehicle features a hot tub, waterbed, mini golf and a helicopter landing pad, among other things.

The world’s longest pickup truck is the 2019 Ford F-450 Super Duty, an American long-wheelbase car measuring 6,761 metres (266.2 inches). Among passenger cars, the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII, introduced in 2017, reigns supreme with a length of 5.982 meters (5.982 feet), or the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman with a length of 6.5 meters (6.5 feet).
