DEATC (Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control)
DEATC is the name given to Ford’s dual-zone air conditioning system. Dual-zone air conditioning allows a slight temperature difference to be maintained between the driver and passenger. This allows the driver, who needs to concentrate and move around, to have a lower temperature setting, for example.
DEATC, from Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control, is the name of the dual-zone automatic air conditioning system used by Ford. Dual-zone air conditioning allows different temperatures to be set for the right and left halves of the car. The temperature difference can be several degrees, about 5°C.
